Rowan Cabarrus Community College
 Rowan Cabarrus Community College is a college
that provides education for more than just the
traditional undergraduate college student. Rowan
Cabarrus Community College offers degree
programs, certificate programs, distance
education, continuing education and workforce
development classes. Classes are open to anyone
with a high school degree or GED and take place
at one of two locations.
The first location is the North Campus, a 103
acre campus located right off Highway 85 in
Piedmont North Carolina. The second location is
the 24 acre facility called South Campus,
located in Cabarrus County, also off of Highway
85, at the intersection of NC Highway 73. For
motivated students who are not physically
located near either campus, some majors are
possible to complete solely from online courses.
 Both campuses are open from 8am until 5pm,
Monday through Friday; however, the Academic
Programs Offices at both locations remain open
until 11pm Monday through Thursday because
classes are still in session until then to
account for evening and continuing education
services. Additionally, the Occupational
Extension and Student Services are available
until 9pm Monday through Thursday. These
qualities make Rowan Cabarrus Community College
a great choice for non-traditional students who
want to continue education in a college that is
available to meet their needs.
The programs of study at Rowan Cabarrus
Community College are grouped into four
categories: Associate in Applied Sciences,
Diploma, Certificate, and Arts and Sciences
Programs. The Applied Sciences and Arts and
Sciences degrees are for people looking to be
full time students and plan to take a full two
years to complete. Applied Science degrees can
be transferred to most four-year colleges, and
many students use these degrees to “get their
feet wet” with college education before making
the leap to a larger college or university.
Students who participate in Diploma and
Certificate programs of study finish with an
“area of specialization.”
